In light of the Halloween spirit, I’ve decided to craft you a special treat that wont mess up your teeth. It’s a simple marketing guide on how to boost your business during Halloween time. Remember, like Christmas this holiday is a pretty big deal to some people. So take advantage of what Halloween has to offer and market accordingly.
Halloween Markets Itself, So Take Advantage:
Ever since you where a little pipsqueak I guarantee you that Halloween was always put in front of your face a month before it even started. Have you ever gone to your local grocery store mid September only to find candy bags galore? Or how about when all your favorite stores decorate their place with spider webs and skulls?
The point here is, that you need to take advantage AHEAD OF TIME just like everyone else is. It all goes back to “Planning ahead of time.” So if your looking on how to market the day of, its going to be pretty darn tough, unless you throw together some crazy event or haunted house.
So as Halloween markets itself a month in advance you should be doing the same. Big companies do it for a reason… BECAUSE IT WORKS! So start planning some ideas/ promotions that you can launch a month in advance.
Stay Up To Date And Follow Trends:
At the time I’m writing this I can tell you that everyone is in love with Vampires and Zombies. I don’t know if it’s the glitter or gore, but 2012 has people clinging on to these two themes. When it comes to Marketing, you need to make sure that you stay up to date and know who your audience is. So if you know a social media website is going out of business, or isn’t popular no more make sure that you’re out of there too. Think and act like your customers and stay up to date with them.
If Your Not Having Fun, Stop Everything Immediately:
Halloween isn’t for everyone and may not be a good move to maket in conjunction with your business. If your a fancy upscale restaurant, your customers may not want to see eyeballs in their soup. This guide is just here to help spark creativity and give you an excuse to try something different. One of the best tips that I can give is to make sure that you do what you love. This applies to marketing as well. If your not getting a good feeling then stop and go back to the drawing board.
